PARKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE CRUISE
There are two parking options for shipmates driving to the reunion and attending the USS Grant Reunion Cruise.
Option ONE Leave your vehicle at the Casa del Mar - - and ride the Grant bus TO the cruise ship on Monday (10/10), then ride the Grant bus FROM the cruise ship on Saturday (10/15) for the return trip to the hotel. There is no charge for leaving your vehicle at the hotel during the cruise, provided you have stayed at the hotel at least one night prior to the cruise.
If you select this option, you need to pay for the round-trip Grant bus to/from the hotel and cruise terminal listed on the “2011 USS Grant Registration/Transportation/Dinner Fees” form. The cost for the round-trip Grant bus ride will be $20 per person ($10 each way).
Option TWO Drive your vehicle to the Cruise Terminal - - and park at one of the locally-operated parking lots. These lots are located within one to six blocks from the ship but most operate shuttles for your use in getting you and your luggage to and from the ship.
The cost for parking your vehicle near the cruise terminal for the five-day cruise will be between $35 and $50, depending upon the lot location and amenities.
If you select this option, you should contact our cruise coordinator, Al Magee, at 888-290-7245. Al will book your parking, identify and locate the parking lot and you will pay Al for the parking and service. For this option, the sooner you book your parking, the better the location, lot and price.
